Bad Posture and Your Back

Good posture is essential to prevent back pressure. This includes standing, sitting, and sleeping postures. Considering that we spend 1/3 of our lives in bed, sleep posture is especially important. The ONLY way to correct your sleep posture, if you sleep on your side, is with a pillow between your knees. This will align your hips, and prevent your top leg from pulling your spine out of proper alignment. You will definitely feel discomfort after seven or eight hours of sleeping incorrectly. A regular pillow is too large, doesn't retain its firmness between your knees, and disappears during the night.
